Bowl

This bowl is one of my favorite projects. It was created on the wheel and I think it turned out great. It is about three to fourr inches in height. I also really like how the glaze turned out. The color is great and makes the bowl even better.

Rattle

I created this fun rattle by slipping and scoring two pinch pots together. Then I added triangles to the sides to create rays. I used low fire glaze for a brighter color. Little balls of clay were wrapped in newpaper and put inside the rattle to give it the sound. Apart from the edges that didn't get glazed, I think the rattle turned out very well.

Coil Pot

To create this odd structure, I rolled out individual coils and stacked them atop eachother, slipping and scoring each coil. It was very time consuming, but I believe it created an unusual design that I like. I made the pot curve out and then back in again. The height of the pot is roughly ten inches. I glazed it with a pretty blue color. Overall, I like this coil pot.

Decorative Box

This decorative box was made by rolling out six square slabs, all identical in shape. I then slipped and scored the slabs together to create a box. I added designs to all four sides and the lid. However, the box was not glazed very well and came out of the kiln rough and discolored. It was not my best project, but I still put a lot of effort into it.
